Pharmacy Assistant

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $18.00 – $18.50/hr
• Rotating schedule: Mon–Fri 9am–6pm (Week A); Tues–Sat (Week B; Sat hours TBD)
ROLE IMPACT
As part of a growing pharmacy fulfillment center, you’ll ensure specialty medications are accurately packed and shipped to patients on time. This role plays a key part in upholding quality, compliance, and service standards while supporting internal process improvement and inventory flow.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare medications for shipment, ensuring sterility and integrity of all items
• Review shipping manifests and carrier invoices for accuracy and billing validation
• Maintain packing area, restock inventory, and rotate supplies including ice packs and coolers
• Collaborate with pharmacy team on order issues, delivery questions, and procedural escalations
• Disinfect, reset, and secure workspaces daily; manage offsite storage and waste disposal
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED
• Basic proficiency with MS Word and Excel
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for 95% of the workday
• Strong attention to detail, team collaboration, and multitasking skills
EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Manual handling of packaging equipment and shipping software (FedEx, UPS)
• Frequent standing, lifting, and light cleaning tasks
• Onsite only – work performed in a controlled pharmacy and packing room environment
PREFERRED SKILLS
• 1+ year in mail order pharmacy or specialty dispensing
• Experience with shipping systems or inventory reconciliation
• Proven ability to work independently and remain organized under pressure
