POSITION OVERVIEW

The Purchasing Supervisor will work closely with the Purchasing Team on domestic and international material needs of the organization. This position will be a vital part of the organization and Purchasing Team, ensuring smooth day to day operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the day to day management of the procurement team.
• Resolves issues, monitors procurement dashboard and reviews back order report(s) to ensure minimal fulfillment delays for customers.
• Create new parts and assembly builds to support new brands, collections, products and/or vendors.
• Issue jobs to the warehouse for stock - relieve component material from stock and receive in the finished good(s).
• Review and resolve PO receipt to sales order and/or invoicing discrepancies ensuring accurate inventory and item fulfillment records.
• Update vendor price lists as needed and work with the Director of Business Analytics to ensure proper margins by item and price key.
• Review inventory needs between warehouses, create transfers and adjust inventory as needed.
• Work with other departments to audit and support process improvement initiatives as needed.
• Other duties and ad hoc analysis/reporting as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervises purchasing team, involved in procurement of domestic and internationally sourced goods.
• Hire, train, evaluate performance, etc.

• Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery
• Good manual dexterity for the use of office equipment and tools.
• Specific vision abilities including; close, distant, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Sitting or Standing for extended periods (up to 75%).

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or inventory management
• Previous team lead or supervisor experience
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• NetSuite software and international purchasing experience a plus
