**Position Summary...** Our Sams Item Engineering team leverages the Syndigo Saa S solution to onboard and manage product data across individual items, packs, cases, and pallets, ensuring seamless supply chain integration. In this role, you will contribute to the Next Gen Sams item initiative by leveraging the Walmart item ecosystem to develop highly scalable microservices. You will independently address high-impact software and systems monitoring issues and troubleshoot business and production challenges. Experience with distributed systems and teams. + **Microservice Architecture** : Experience with and an understanding of best practices in multithreading, networking, offline storage, and performance tuning. + **Refactoring** : Experience with refactoring, redesigning, or rewriting existing applications is a plus. + **Development Practices** : Disciplined approach to development, code review, testing, documentation, and code structure within a team. + **Continuous Improvement** : Strong desire to improve, learn, and adopt the latest features in React. Additional Skills (Nice to Have) + **Cloud Technologies** : Knowledge of scalable, distributed systems in virtualized cloud environments. Ability to design for fault tolerance and high availability. + **Technologies and Tools** : Experience with Kafka Queues, Cassandra, Solr, Elastic Search, SQL. Proficiency in Java, Python, Bash, Spark (SQL, Streaming), Hadoop Map Reduce.
